Comments: I am trying to locate a dear childhood friend, Nancy Merriman. SHe lived for a while in Framingham, Massachusetts, and would be about 30 years old now. if anyone could find any info on ruth merriman, i still need some help. she die in sturgis, mi in 1974. she had (i think) 6 or 7 brothers and one very young sister. her mother had her sister after ruth was married. and some of her brothers moved to az because they had breathing problems. ruth, herself had 3girls and 3boys and now there are only 1girl and 1boy left. so thank for any info that you can give me. i'm so glad you have this site. please help!

What a wonderful website. I would like to add to what you have. I am descended from Thomas Merriman (1809) and Caroline Smith. Their daughter Mary Merriman (born 1846) married Thomas Cassell 13 October 1868. They had 6 children, John Thomas (1869) Joseph James (1873) Alfred (1879) Harriett Emily (1884) Henry (1871) and Thomas (born 1881 died 1882). John Thomas Cassell married Mary May Smith and my mother Vera Aline Cassell is their daughter. Mary Merriman Cassell lived to be 95. My mother is 90. If you would like copies of BMD certificates or more info please let me know. By the way Phillip Merryman (1840) married Dinah Bennett. Hope to hear from you soon, regards Jo

I have your Robert Merriman (b 1781) in my tree. His son Charles (b 1816) married Maria Beckett. Her father was William Beckett (b 1795 in Buckingham). According to other researchers, Col. William GOFFE and wife Frances WHALLEY had 3 daus,: Elizabeth d 1673, Frances b 1653 (m Robert DIXON), and Judeth d 1684 unm. What evidence is there that the Mary GOUGH of Newbury, Berks., who m John MERRIMAN in 1639 was a dau of Wm. GOFFE, regicide? He was reputedly b abt 1605 or 1614, so would have been on the young side for having a dau who m in 1639. I am researching GOUGHs of Newbury, hence my interest. Thanks.
